Palm's webOS Update Fixes iTunes Sync

Palm has released the webOS 1.1.0 update for Palm Pre owners. Along with fresh set of features, this update also enables the iTunes 8.2.1 media sync support once again. Apart from that Exchange support, email Memos, JavaScript interpreter Performance and several other features are included in this update.

aamartech< target="_blank" href="http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/pre/p100eww/sprint/solutions/article/50607_en.html#11featurechanges">release notes, Palm mentions all the new features, improvements, and fixes packed in the update. Under features for System, Palm notes 'Resolves an issue preventing media sync from working with latest version of iTunes (8.2.1).'

Looks like yet another cat-and-mouse game has started between Apple and Palm. Apple can be expected to release yet another update to disable this media sync support for Palm Pre. But what exactly is dragging Palm Pre to squabble with Apple? Is it some sort of a competition, or are the former Apple engineers a bit too disgruntled? We don't know what exactly the reason is.

Other new features that come with webOS 1.1.0 update bring along a bunch of Photo app improvements, new fonts for the browser, animated drop down menus, and different notifications audio. PreCentrel.net has compiled quite an extensive list of new features included in the webOS 1.1.0 update.
